Be The Happiness You Naturally Are

All people have the potential to naturally wake up in the morning with an energetic, joyful, courageously strong heart full of happiness, love, understanding and appreciation. From this place, all people can naturally emanate the love they feel. All people can be clear about what purposeful responsible actions they could take this day to care for their minds and bodies, those of others and the Earth on which we live. They can consciously build relationships with others that enable the sharing and development of this happiness, love, understanding and beauty.

Living like this is the natural way of life for all people. It is possible to reveal this life at any moment, no matter the current circumstances, without doing anything as such. On the contrary, it is more of undoing or letting go into the natural condition we all are in truth, all the time. But, what are we letting go into?

A place where we have no fear, feel whole and complete, no sense of lack or seeking happiness in outer experience. No loneliness or isolation. No controlling or limiting judgement of ourselves or others. Here, we truly know who we are and feel in touch with the solid ground of what we sense is reality. A place where we can see through the addictive patterns of our behaviour, the false and fearful thoughts of separateness that fill our mind and heal the painful emotions in our bodies arising from our traumas. A place where we can perceive beauty, feel love and understand truth. A place of ultimate freedom, yet responsibility. A place where we can treasure our innate gifts and talents and naturally desire to use them to benefit the world. A place where we profoundly feel a vibrant aliveness and at one with all existence and where we know that ourselves and the universe are one. A place that spontaneously gives rise to boundless courage, compassion and wisdom. It is a place we are we do not need a teacher or to personify truth, who we know in the end is as fallible as all humans, maybe just a good friend to make suggestions. A place where we do not require practice as such, perhaps mainly to understand the natural workings of our mind and body. A place where we do not need to pin our identity to a specific group or organisation of people as such that inevitably are susceptible to human fallibility, maybe mainly to be aware of the power of community to help us and to find a way to help it.

This place is, in truth, where we already are, but we remember it. Sometimes, in the challenge of living, we all need a gentle reminder to be the happiness we already are.
